This article references a paper, published in Applied Animal Behaviour Science <Link>. It describes how researchers discovered that cats that were allowed unsupervised time outside had lower levels of disruptive behavior.
Considering how controversial this topic is and the likelihood that cat owners will not read the whole article or study, animal health pros should become familiar with the entire context, specifically the references to uncontrolled, free-roaming outdoor access.
