Dog owners often experience their dog get sudden bursts of energy known as the zoomies. The frenetic random activity periods (FRAPS) are a normal way for dogs to relieve pent up energy.
The Zoomies can happen out of nowhere but are usually triggered when a dog is really excited.

In general, the zoomies are nothing to worry about, they don’t last long and aren’t harmful to dogs. It may be a signal that the dog needs to release energy in a different way.
