Tick-borne Bourbon virus infects people, wildlife in St. Louis area

The Lone Star tick carries the Bourbon virus in the southern U.S. and Midwest. Bourbon virus belongs to a group of viruses called Thogotovirus. It is not known if Bourbon or Heartland virus can make pets sick <Link>.
