Look alike bottles pose risk of using otic solution in eyes

Studying case data from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Animal Poison Control Center researchers discovered mistaken identification was the most common cause of ocular toxicoses from otic products. The bottles are too similar making mistakes easy unless stored separately.
A virus crippled U.S. cities 150 years ago. It didn’t infect humans.

Within days, a veterinarian found an additional 14 sick horses in the city. Within a week, the count grew to 600. The mysterious “Canadian horse disease” spread quickly, following rail lines into bustling cities and knocking out the workhorses that had powered the United States into a new era.
