Fears of canine respiratory illness may be overblown

Experts in canine infectious respiratory disease are urging caution as a mysterious canine respiratory disease with no known pathogen continues to make headlines in the United States. Because the U.S. has no robust surveillance system for infectious disease in dogs, it’s hard to track these cases and discern whether anecdotes and scraps of data add up to widespread and concerning patterns according to an NPR report.

Killer kitties: cats are eating 2,000 species, including hundreds that are at risk
