Minnesota sees rabies spike due to infected skunks

Striped skunks (Mephitis mephitis) are a reservoir species for rabies in Minnesota and a range covering most of the continental United States including suburban areas. Rabies spreads at low levels within skunk populations making the Minnesota incidence report a good reminder for all animal health pros.

The wind is always looking for somewhere to go. So, when it hits an object like a pole barn and can’t push through it, that wind will move in different directions often creating wind uplift against the roof overhang.
