Employee discontent is on the rise, shares Rebecca Knight. More workers are thinking about quitting their jobs now than during the Great Resignation in 2022, despite a less favorable job market. People are living more on the edge, making it easy for impatience, concern and discomfort to leak out as sarcasm or subtle verbal attacks that turn into resentment.
Two experts share what to do if resentment is building on your team: 1) Don’t assume the issue will resolve on its own. 2) Stay close to your team. 3) If you see something, say something. 4) Embrace tough feedback. 5) Advocate for your team. 6) Shake things up. 7) Focus on common goals.
