Inspections may be conducted with or without advanced notice and are often conducted based upon a current or former employee’s complaint. OSHA has adopted a “worst first” system of priorities for conduction inspections that work as follows:
- Imminent danger
- Catastrophes and fatal accidents
- Employee complaints
- Programmed Inspections
