
Building from a four-person Google Meet group that grew into more than 1,000 members on Facebook, Women in Equine’s membership spans countries, riding disciplines, students, C-suite executives, entrepreneurs and early-career professionals.
Founded by Jillian Blades-Rice, the network of horsewomen has enjoyed the opportunity to connect and grow their careers and businesses through virtual collaborative relationships. Responding to the collective desires of WIE community members, Blades-Rice has organized and launched a new professional community built for women’s equine careers across the industry, from barn work to executive roles.

- Of the women with over 11 years of industry experience, only 40 percent said they had a strong professional network.
- Strong network strength drops to 18 percent when under 11 years of industry experience with 54.6 percent of respondents saying they have none or are isolated from building one.
