It’s been said, “the poop rolls downhill.” In most vet clinics, the technicians catch it. But these talented professionals frequently make the day, save a case and step in to help animal owners understand what’s going on. Kudos to the dvm360 staff for collecting some real-life experiences as the 2019 National Veterinary Technician Week approaches October 13-19.

Veterinary technicians provide actions that may seem insignificant, but they are far from it. They do the things clients, patients and team members remember because it leaves a lasting feeling of kindness, compassion, empathy, understanding and warmth. – Danielle T. Russ, LVT
INSIGHTS: For sales representatives, Vet Tech week is an excellent opportunity to expand the number of persons you know at practice locations. Vet techs are often involved in animal associations, societies and activities. Over the last three years, techs have become more integral as advocates for products and services available within the practice and with animal owners. Consider using Vet Tech week to celebrate their value and get to know the individuals.
