The Veterinary Confessionals Project (Link) allows veterinary professionals to express themselves freely, without being judged, and encourages creativity and solidarity within the veterinary community. The DVM 360 staff assembled some of the secrets veterinarians and team members have shared via the project.

Most days I wish I were doing something else! Missed out on so much in my life with family.
Sometimes I feel pressured to work more and justify why I spend time with my kids. I love my job, but I realized that my family is more important to me. Please don’t judge each other. Thank you. 🙂

To all veterinarians and vet techs that give their all to their patients: do not neglect yourself! It is easy to lose yourself and keep giving until you have nothing left. Take time off, reflect, recharge, spend time with loved ones. Burnout was the hardest thing I went through.
