. . . delivering the tough information – can be a challenge. Nonetheless, it’s one of the most valuable things you can do for your people. You need to tell them when they have a behavior that will limit their career advancement, or what the consequences will be if they don’t resolve a major issue.
INSIGHTS: Many management issues are the consequences of not setting clear and measurable expectations for your people. If Bill Gates or I tell you something is expensive, we probably have two different numbers in mind. So be clear and remember, everything is measurable.
