As you compile budgets for next year, be aware that travel costs are projected to increase across the board, according to a study by Carlson Wagonlit Travel and the GBTA Foundation, the education and research arm of the Global Travel Association.

In North America, the increases will be more modest, with airfares expected to rise 2.3% and hotel rates to increase 2.9% by next year, the study said.
