A Portland State University study shows that being thanked more often at work predicted better sleep, fewer headaches and healthier eating, because it improved employees’ work satisfaction.

INSIGHTS: Any acknowledgement when receiving a “thank you” is good. “You’re welcome,” is even better. But, “My pleasure,” is the best.
