Dogs are not fully colorblind. They have limited color vision, similar to humans with red-green colorblindness. They’re particularly good at seeing shades of blue, although they don’t have the same range when it comes to seeing shades of gray.
When it comes to dogs’ metaphorical vision, they live in a world that is entirely black and white, says Cesar Milan.

One of my key principles is that all animals communicate with energy and body language, and this is exactly how a dog “sees” you. They don’t judge you based on your looks or your abilities, or how much money you have in the bank, or how flashy your clothes are. They look right past all of that, and all they can see is the real you.
