Spring parasite control is near the top of the to-do list as cows calve and move to grass. With grass turnout comes exposure to parasites that have overwintered either in the pasture or in the cattle themselves. Use of dewormer compounds can significantly improve the average level of production; however, care must be taken to avoid a buildup of resistant populations. General recommendations regarding the use of these drugs should be discussed with your herd veterinarian and in compliance with the label claims of your product.
