
Automatic feeders, cameras and climate controllers in the barn, kennels or other secondary locations often share the same network as the accounting software and email running in the office. One hacked device is all it takes to reach the operation’s financial records.
Splitting the secondary locations and office onto separate Wi-Fi networks, with a firewall between them, costs little and doesn’t call for an IT staffer to set up.
