Animal health pros use social media routinely. Yet, the use of video to educate and influence customer buying decisions has not become mainstream during sales calls or follow-up communications.
According to new research commissioned by Brightcove, Inc., 74 percent of consumers say there is a connection between watching a video on social media and their purchasing decision-making process.

The report revealed that 46% of viewers have actually made a purchase as a result of watching a branded video on social media, and another third have considered doing so. The report says further insights for brands include:
- 81% of consumers currently interact with brands on social media and 43% have done so through watching branded video
- 79% agree that video is the easiest way to get to know a brand online
- The number one choice of branded content on social networks, video, was the most popular answer (31%)
INSIGHTS: For sales representatives this is a call-to-action. Start using the videos your company has already made. Forward them as follow-up to a sales call or use them in person. A picture is still worth 1,000 words.
