The 4th annual edition of Beef Magazine’s Seedstock 100 (S100) lists the biggest seedstock producers in the beef industry, including bull sales volume and contact information. The list of breeds and composites that these S100 operations offer speaks to the genetic diversity borne by customer need and demand, as well as breed concentration.

Inclusion on the S100 list speaks to a host of supplier attributes associated with marketing so many bulls: customer satisfaction, industry knowledge and commitment, adaptability and the wherewithal to earn repeat business. There are nine operations that marketed between 1,000 and 3,986 bulls. These nine operations accounted for 15,831 bulls marketed, or 28% of all bulls marketed by S100 operations.
INSIGHTS: Marketers, sales persons and veterinary teams can use this list to identify key seedstock operations in your area. The relevance is important whether you service them directly or not since these operations represent the genetics trends in cattle over the next three or more years.
