The Kennel Club has officially marked Scottish terriers at risk of disappearing. Last year an all-time low of 438 Scottish terrier pups were registered with the dog breeds organization, a decline of 38 per cent over the last five years.

There are now a record-breaking 29 native vulnerable breeds and nine that are at watch, which totals more than half of the country’s 57 native dog breeds.
