Updated feline and canine vaccination guidelines have introduced several changes that many veterinary practices have yet to fully adopt: an additional feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (FVRCP) booster for kittens; feline leukemia virus (FeLV) vaccination as a core vaccine for kittens younger than 1 year; and leptospirosis (lepto) vaccination as a core vaccine for all dogs, regardless of lifestyle.
