
In the U.S., name‑brand and generic dewormers fall into four anthelmintic drug classes: avermectins (macrocyclic lactones), benzimidazoles, imidazothiazoles and sulfonamide derivatives, each with its own distinct molecular structure that harms parasites in different ways.
