What if resolutions complicate our lives and pressure us more than we realized?
Research conducted by Strava using over 800 million user-logged activities in 2019 predicts the day most people are likely to give up on their New Year’s Resolution is January 19, now coined as Quitter’s Day. The resolution isn’t the problem. Most people fail because of the way they try to achieve their goals.
Niklas Göke argues, “What if all it takes to have a truly great year is a single, solid word?” He says a single word can make all the difference in your life but only if you choose one that is truly meaningful to you.

A theme doesn’t require perfection. Think of it as a meditation for your life’s trajectory.” – Niklas Göke
INSIGHTS: Whether you’re attending a national convention, left behind to handle the business or making time to watch virtual CE, it is easy to abandon your resolutions. If this is you, consider Göke’s premise of a single-word theme. Think of it as a reset button. 😉
