We have become like Pavlov’s famous dogs, trained to salivate when they heard the sound of a bell. And when we can’t check our phones, our bodies release stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol.

Don’t beat yourself up if you’ve tried and failed to change your phone habits. It is possible. The point is to make sure that when you use your phone, it’s a conscious choice.
