- Bacteriuria: presence of bacteria in the urine
- Subclinical bacteriuria: bacteriuria in the absence of clinical signs of UTI
- UTI or bacterial cystitis: bacteriuria in the presence of clinical signs, including hematuria, pollakiuria, stranguria, and/or dysuria
