INSIGHTS: The primary focus for both cattle and swine remains on prevention, improving individual animal performance potential and supporting production animals in safe, comfortable facilities with people educated to properly care for them. Short of a sweeping disease threat, animal health pros have the resources to support continuous improvement on a farm-by-farm basis. While frequently redundant, it is important to continuously review basics to ensure compliance to the best protocols and that new personnel get the training they need.
