We learn something new almost every day. In a short Facebook conversation, an industry colleague shared this photo of cows and their calves. Somehow, the existence of ear and face protectors had not hit my radar. Ear muffs for calves; what a great idea.
Ensuring the comfort and protection of calves’ tender, damp ears is a top priority in Arctic cold, but the weather can be just as cruel on their tender ears in mild, windy, damp climates. We’re sharing the website below for the Kalf Kozies shown in the photograph.

INSIGHTS: A Google search revealed several options for baby calves’ ears <Link> with calf hood prices from $20 to $40 each. The initial investment will be easily recovered when reusing the hoods over a couple years.
