- Allergies
- Seasonal hazards
- Cuts, abrasions, lacerations
- Nail problems
- Cracked or dry pads
- Growths

The common clinical signs of paw problems in dogs are limping, licking, biting and chewing at the foot, or bleeding. Excessive licking can also generate a yeast infection called Malassezia.
