Animal Health Digest appreciates the support sponsors offer, especially when it goes beyond expectations. I recently compressed a nerve in my right arm, which greatly limited my typing ability. As one who thinks with his fingers and types for a living, this was a challenge.
The good folks from Talkatoo kindly provided me full privileges to its voice-to-text dictation platform. It was a lifesaver, especially for emails. Within two days, I could voice an email and Talkatoo’s AI process quickly learned any technical words. My emails were accurately and quickly transcribed directly to Outlook. It works well for Word documents, too. Fortunately, my recovery has been weeks, not months, and I’m back to typing full speed.
If voice-to-text works for an editor and PR professional, it will work for the busiest or typing-impaired veterinarians and their support staffs. Give it a whirl. I saved enough billable time on emails to pay for it. Vets will save more than that.
