The animal health industry is generous with support resources. Thank you! I’ve lost count of the continuing education credit opportunities offered in the veterinary market. My last look showed 25 new programs were offered in September. This doesn’t include innumerable podcasts and YouTube videos being promoted, nor does it account for myriad free CE programs housed on websites from manufacturers, industry groups and suppliers.
One company dedicated to continuing education is the ASPCA® Pet Health Insurance program, an Animal Health Digest sponsor. We asked its experts to share information about their CE programs.

“We are happy to be a resource to veterinarians and their staff by providing free continuing education courses and tools to support the pet owner/veterinary hospital relationship,” Gina Fortunato, Associate Vice President of Veterinary Services, Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group™, shares.
As the importance of the human-animal bond has increased, pet owners want to be active in their pet’s health care decisions. Many of our continuing education courses focus on skills necessary to effectively communicate the cost of care to pet owners so they can partner with their health care professionals to make educated decisions for their pet’s treatment. When owners are prepared for their pet’s healthcare costs, there is less stress for both the pet owner and veterinary team when their animals become sick or injured”.
Over the last few years, 3607 veterinary professionals have earned more than 4,000 CE credit hours with the courses offered on the ASPCA® Pet Health Insurance Veterinary Resource Library.
