INSIGHTS: As we learn to communicate using new methods and with our faces covered, extra effort is required to ensure we are effective listeners and communicators. I’ve noticed it is harder to understand a person talking who is wearing a mask. Not only is the sound muffled, but without seeing the person’s mouth and face, visual cues are absent.
