Two examples highlight the benefit of check-in meetings.
First, a recent Nat Geo episode of The Wild Life of Dr. Ole <Link>, featured Ole Alcumbrac, DVM, hosting a stand-up meeting discussing the day, staff substitution while he would be out and follow-up required on a couple of cases. It ended with a request for questions or concerns.
This is a real-world example of the check-in or huddle meetings Naphtali Hoff describes and outlines in this SmartBrief article.

INSIGHTS: Inside and outside sales rep colleagues will recognize this as the wwww.HW methodology I would request when receiving information about a marketplace situation, competitor’s offer or the most recent rumored deal. Without full information, responding to the customer or reacting was fraught with inherent risk.
In the same way, using wwww.HW for a daily huddle provides a cultural outline for communication and staff empowerment.
