Meeting a critical need in the rabbit-owning community, a dedicated medical team is working to ensure veterinary professionals across the globe can receive first-hand experience working with rabbits. The House Rabbit Society’s goal is for these professionals to return to their communities with enhanced skills and knowledge, leading to an increase in quality rabbit-specific medical care nationwide.
Training takes place at the HRS rescue facility in Richmond, California. In 2025 to date, 44 veterinary professionals and students from across the country and internationally have trained with the HBS medical team.
