Bulls make up just two percent of the cattle in the U.S., but they cause 48 percent of cattle worker fatalities, according to the U.S. Department of Labor Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries and the Surveillance of Occupational and Illnesses databases. It’s easy to take for granted that we know how to handle ourselves around docile or aggressive bulls, but we often get lax.
