Funded by a grant from Zoetis, this toolkit provides a multi-topic review of key elements in feline care that range from pain to premise. Veterinary team leaders can use it to create a team exercise. Assign team members the task to read through the toolkit and identify at least one positive thing currently done in the practice and one strategy or tactic that could be implemented by the team for feline patients and clients. Spend 30 minutes capturing the positives and the opportunities. Then, ensure the positives are reinforced for the whole team. Prioritize the opportunities and choose one to implement.

INSIGHTS: Sales representatives, especially key account reps, are often skilled at facilitating group discussions and can provide a third party resource so all team members can participate in this exercise. Also, retail associates can familiarize themselves with core elements of feline care using the toolkit to better serve cat owners. The client video, Is your elderly kitty getting skinny?, has applications for any animal health pro servicing a cat owner.
