By living the power of her 14-year-old niece who DoorDashed a Wendy’s lemonade “because I wanted one,” Halverson’s astonishment and realization of the gutsiness of Gen Z offers a wakeup call to any of us serving this market segment.

They are not afraid or ashamed to use technology and tools to make their lives better and easier and to get what they want. . . . This is no longer a “that would be awesome,” but it’s a “this is what we expect and demand.”
INSIGHTS: Those of us who, like Halverson, were in college before we had food delivered, might react as she initially did. Her advice to adapt to it as the norm is timely.
