Farriers often take a dog with them as they travel from one job to the next. This year the American Farriers Journal celebrated farrier dogs with a contest. Frank Lessiter introduces the 2025 winner, Phrog Frog Diggity Dog who works alongside farrier Jeremy Zackowski.
Frog goes to work every day with Jeremy, unlike many of the dogs celebrated during Take Your Dog to Work Day 2025 on June 20th <Link>. Zackowski says his dog was named after a horse’s frog and is an unknown breed adopted as a rescue. He joked, “. . . as far as we can tell he is part cat, part raccoon, and maybe a little cowdog.”
