You have only a few days left in April writes Benjamin Hardy. It doesn’t matter what has happened before. It matters what you’ll do now, and until the finish. The better you get at finishing things, the more confidence you’ll have. Finish <this month> better than you’ve ever finished a month. Allow yourself to sprint powerfully to a finish line. Here is some of his guidance:
- Remove the distractions; put them away; get down to business
- Be where you need to be and be present there.
- Commit deeper to the results you seek. Get more convicted if you must.
- Do whatever it is you must do. . . no time for excuses.
- A true decision means you’ve cut off the alternative options that are only distractions.

There are a billion choices and options and distractions in the world. Get very clear on your values. Then live those values now. Ignore everything else. It’s your competitive advantage. Because while you’re living your life and values, much of the world is caught in the web of never ending distractions. Such is a fog of confusion that is not happy nor productive.
INSIGHTS: We’ve followed Hardy, his development and contributions to forward thinking, choice management and rapid life improvement since 2014.
This post will be published on May 2. Hardy’s guidance on finishing was delivered with 4 days left in April 2019. Here are some things to consider as we approach the end of the school year and summer months’ activities:
- 244 days remain in 2019.
- Excluding holidays, 237 days are left.
- Excluding weekends and holidays, only 167 days remain to achieve our objectives for 2019.
