The American Farm Bureau Federation and National Farmers Union have announced Farm Town Strong, a new campaign to raise awareness of the effect of the opioid crisis on farming communities. The two groups have launched a new website that offers information and resources to help farm families and rural communications.

While just under half of rural Americans say they, a family member or friend have been directly impacted by opioid abuse, for farmers and farm workers, it’s 74 percent. A strong majority of respondents also support increasing public awareness about anti-opioid resources and reducing the stigma that surrounds addition to help solve the opioid crisis.
