If photos of empty grocery shelves in towns up and down the East Coast are any proof, there must not be that many food activists in blizzards. Empty milk cases, naked produce displays and long lines for all of it, and I just couldn’t help but think there’s nothing like the threat of an apocalyptic blizzard to make people drop their pretenses of food elitism. We forget in our everyday humdrum lives we can go to our local grocery store or mega market and find warehouse shelves full of food.
