Returning home from the Western Veterinary Conference, I reflected that this year, the WVC was the comfortable veterinary conference. That is, comfortable compared to NAVC, which recently debuted in the vast Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
In past years, WVC seemed to tax our physical and time-management stamina. But, after the marathon hiking required during NAVC, WVC was a cakewalk. Plus, animal health pros know the layout, the restaurants, entertainment spots and places where they can easily network.
Thinking about the number of industry colleagues who shared similar perspectives, is it any wonder that our customers and stakeholders are slow to change and embrace something new?
INSIGHTS: The next time you consider how quickly you can implement a change or place a new product, remember just how slow and resistant each of us is to something new or different.
