This article by Craig Payne, DVM, MS, is a good one to share with livestock producers, backyard poultry and goat owners, horse owners and beekeepers to explain the changes in how antibiotics can be accessed after June 11th. INSIGHTS: Despite all the coverage of these final changes, proactively reinforcing the message may help avoid issues that affect an animal’s health. Consider leaving a few copies on neighborhood bulletin boards at local coffee shops, convenience stores, coops and other watering holes where producers gather.
