Four things impressed me about this article:
- Going declaw-free was done more than four years ago before negative press about declaw issues was prevalent
- Amy Zellweger made the decision after engaging the practice team to gather evidence about declaw issues
- The practices have continued to grow financially
- Because of the educational focus, the practice now has clients who advocate for its practices
We went NO de-claws. You can too!

We focused on team education as well as positive and empowering client education, while ensuring we were supporting felines (clawed and de-clawed) along with the pet parents without judgment.

INSIGHTS: Congratulations to Ms. Zellweger and her practice teams’ collaboration. It is nice to see information about the staff developing a strategy and implementing tactics to make the changes successful.
