Mark Cushing, J.D., challenges the system of accrediting new and existing colleges of veterinary medicine in this article. The COE’s mission is to establish standards for veterinary colleges, accredit or reject new programs, and reaccredit existing programs. He calls for a robust discussion and offers rationales for reform to the current AVMA COE.
