Addressing concerns about the affordability of veterinary care runs high among pet owners of all generations, according to data presented in VetWatch™:
- For emergency services, 42 percent of vet clients are strongly concerned, 32 percent are somewhat concerned.
- For routine healthcare, 33 percent are strongly concerned, 35 percent are somewhat concerned.
Cost of care discussions were featured in our October 12, 2021 post introducing the Cost of Care Wheel from ASPCA® Pet Health Insurance (Link). This tool makes it quick and easy to have conversations with clients based on five years of actual ASPCA® Pet Health Insurance claims data. The data includes accident, illness and preventive care invoices submitted for nine popular dog breeds and five cat breeds.
