If you want to be well-liked, you probably will not make a good coach. Expert coaches adopt that old Marine Corps drill instructor attitude, “Never Satisfied.” Professionals know the value of practice and pushing the envelope. Remember, amateurs practice until they get it right – professionals practice until they cannot get it wrong.
INSIGHTS: While you and your staff may not see yourselves in the sales business, you are. An intellectual understanding of your practice’s policies and procedures does not produce competency or a successful practice. Hire integrity and then coach skills.
