Change is hard. It is especially hard on the person leading the change. Compound this by being new to the organization you are leading through the change and the task can seem insurmountable. These thoughts will help.

Change is exhausting, especially if you have a big vision, so you need to break it down into manageable pieces and celebrate everyone around you, every time the progress bar is filled in a little more. Be generous with credit. Enlist your team in helping you navigate the best ways to applaud each other’s work within the organizational culture.
INSIGHTS: Asking questions and listening to the responses sounds simple. It’s not, because many of us listen to respond, which causes us to miss much of the information being communicated. Instead, listen to UNDERSTAND. You can formulate a plan and strategy later after you UNDERSTAND another’s perception of the situation.
