AHD sponsor Ceva Animal Health, maker of Catego®, helped the Chris Griffey Memorial Feline Foundation raise more than $10,000 through a popular video on Facebook. Catego SpokesCat Benedict, “Benny” Cumbercat, and his owner, Ellen Carozza, a veterinary technician, were featured in video highlighting the Chris Griffey Memorial Feline Foundation that cares for at-risk kittens. It operates from the Nova Cat Clinic in Arlington, Virginia.
Ceva donated $1 to the foundation for every social media share up to $5,000. The video inspired more than an additional $5,000 from private donors.

Carozza named the foundation in honor of Chris Griffey, a former colleague who took his own life. The foundation takes in sick and at-risk kittens and provides them veterinary care and adoption services. “With the help of Catego and Ceva, we’ll be able to rescue and provide advanced care for even more at-risk cats in our community,” Carozza said.
