As a veterinarian charged with teaching veterinary students, I am acutely aware how difficult administering intranasal vaccines can be. There are a number of variables that can factor into making an intranasal vaccination experience difficult. Likewise, injectable Bordetella vaccines are associated with the concerns of an inadvertent needle stick or getting the vaccine “Sub-fur” rather than subcutaneously.
In my experience, I find the oral Bordetella vaccine to be easy to administer to most dogs.
INSIGHTS: For sales representatives new to presenting vaccines or those who need a refresher on Bordetella, this sponsored feature from Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc.
