The AVMA Board of Directors updated policies addressing a range of issues during a meeting at association headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. They include:
- Telehealth including telemedicine
- Ownership not guardianship
- Policy on “Pet Health Insurance”
- Revisions to the zoonotic infectious diseases policy defining effective surveillance
- Participation in the Veterinary Sustainability Alliance
